Apr. 27, 2020 – In this episode the girls start by talking about all of the health-based parenting goals they had when they first had their children. And how quickly that evolves and becomes unattainable under some circumstances. Sarah shares how she was raised in the south and that there was never a focus on ‘healthy’ eating. She opens up very candidly about the daily battle she has with food and the ongoing process it is to stay in a size that she feels comfortable. She shares her first experience with gaining weight was in her teen years when she faced a depressive episode that required medication; and the impact that had on her waistline. Lauren also comments on the insecurities and thoughts she’s now carried around for so long as well.
They then open up and share most of the different diets that they’ve tried… from Weight Watchers to Whole 30 they cover a lot. They provide their raw and honest review of each and also share what they think works best for them. The girls repeatedly emphasize that healthy eating and diets are NOT ‘one size fits all’ and that they are just always trying to improve and build better habits.
They then wrap up with their hits and misses of the week where Lauren shares a scare that she experienced with her youngest. It was a terrifying reminder to not get too comfortable once they exit the toddler stage.
