May 17th, 2021 – In this episode, the ladies are recording live from Orlando, Florida on one incredible family vacation. Hosted by Universal Orlando, Lauren and Sarah’s families have had the amazing opportunity to see both theme parks – Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. They kick off the show breaking down a vacation compared to a family trip (you know the difference 😉!) and how they may need a vacation from their vacation but have made some pretty amazing memories this last week. They dive into flying with children and some ways to help make it a bit more smooth! Screens always help, and some airlines are offering their own games and movie options with wifi! Lauren attempted a red eye with her family and found that it worked great for her family adjusting to the time difference! Be sure to account for jet lag with your kids. Sarah likes to keep her kids with a bedtime routine to reduce any overtired cranky kids. Sarah then shares how she loves a good hotel experience, and they spend a few minutes comparing Airbnb to a hotel stay! Lauren’s kids love staying at a hotel too, something so exciting about it. The Mom Voice stayed at the newly opened Endless Summer Resort Dockside that they were very happy with! Especially, the amenities and budget friendly prices. They share many details worth checking out, like the market, suites, pool and more. The ladies then shift into theme park specific tips. They share how the heat can take a toll especially with masks and how you can handle it! Suggesting fans and spray bottles, light clothing and checking your weather report. Sarah has a 4 year old and chose to bring a stroller and Lauren has 5 year old and chose not to. Having a stroller is super helpful with carrying bags and tired kids but also another thing to worry about. Consider what will help your family. They continue to break down great things about the Universal theme parks, like favorite must do’s (express pass, butter beer, the helpful app and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter!) They were wowed with the immersive experience and rides. Their kids bought wands and loved making spells through out. So much to fit into one episode. They close out with their hits and misses of the week, Sarah was so proud she went on the big coaster with her daughter and Lauren loved their sit down lunch at the park as a family. The women and their families are so grateful for the opportunity to partner with Universal Orlando and hope you enjoy this episode!
